Who’s coming to spend the day with you?

As your photographer I’m going to be there through some pretty big life moments, it’s important that you’re both as comfortable as possible having me around on one of your most special days.

My vibe is fun and outgoing, with an ability to read the room, that’s to say I’ll flow between the hype guy or back seat observer when the situation calls for it.

So you might say that I have the best job ever. Photographing great people on one of their happiest of days? Sign me up thanks! Over the past 11 years I’ve been lucky enough to capture over 300 gorgeous wedding days and can’t wait to get to so many more.

I’m all married up to the freaking love of my life, Jessie. So if you’re here for wedding photography I totally know what you’re going through, I was there not all that long ago. We got married at Nepenthe Wines in the Adelaide Hills and it was legit THE BEST DAY EVAR.

Since then we’ve been around the place; a month in Europe for our honeymoon, 5 weeks in the USA, and a whole lot of OZ. We built our house suitably close enough to McLaren Vale so a day off usually finds us with a wine in hand, on a lawn or at a cellar door with our two Groodles; Alfred and Eddie.

Jessie is a pretty amazing videographer, that’s actually how I got into the whole photography caper.  A normal day finds us creating and doing our respective visual story telling thing, it’s pretty cool that we get to work together on something we both love. Our other interests include; hitting the gym, to make all the gains! Trying to replicate anything Nigela, Jamie or Gordon in the kitchen, and heading to the movies… anything Sci Fi for me and anything Tarantino for Jessie. Not killing our growing house plant forrest is also a daily challenge.

 

My Approach:

I love natural emotions and movement, it beats a forced pose anyday. My style is far more laid back, I get you interacting with each other in a real and genuine way. I realise you probably aren’t a pro model and I don’t expect you to know how to crack a winner pose every time, that’s why natural is best. I’m not big on too much “stand there and look at the camera” style stuff, maybe one or two just for fun. The feedback I get from sessions is that my couples realise real quick how laid back and fun it is if you just go with it.

My editing style is custom, I try to keep my colours true to life making sure your photographs are timeless and hold up over time. I steer clear of social media trends which typically fall out of fashion quickly, this way your wedding photographs won’t be “So 2026” in a few short years.
